My 2017 Experience
2017 was one heck of a year for me. I made two eBooks, discovered a new video sharing site, performed spoken word at different open mics, turned 21, made friends, lost friends, started 2 websites, and made the Deans list all within the year. I happy to say that I can end 2017 different than when I started it. I began 2017 still questioning my purpose, wondering if I should do poetry full time or should just do it part-time or which 4-year school should I attend? I was filled with so much excitement, but worry because of not having all the resources. I'm glad to say that I can end 2017 with a sense of purpose: I made new friends, gained a following on Vidlii, and starting a series on thepentalk (my other site) called thepoetryblock. I expect 2018 to be an even more successful year.
